Job Title: Sessional Faculty in Social Work

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a qualified individual to fill a sessional faculty position in the School of Social Work and Human Service. The successful candidate will teach the course SOCW 4500: Leadership Practice in Social Service Organizations in Fall 2024.

About the Position

This is a part-time, sessional faculty position that requires teaching, curriculum development, and assessment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, creating engaging learning experiences, and assessing student learning outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Teach the course SOCW 4500: Leadership Practice in Social Service Organizations
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's learning objectives
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, with a minimum of five years of professional experience in a social work leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods, as well as a proven track record of teaching excellence.
