Job Summary:

Entegris is seeking a highly skilled Production Chemist/Operator to join our team in Toronto, Canada. This individual will be responsible for manufacturing chemicals according to predefined procedures and within health and safety operating protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proper use and care of equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
  • Rigid adherence to production specifications and procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Strict compliance with housekeeping protocol, Health & Safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring all required documentation is current, complete, and accurate to facilitate smooth operations and quality control.
  • Working to improve skills and those of colleagues through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of chemicals used in manufacturing, production procedures, and underlying chemistry to drive process improvements.
  • Supporting team members with sound understanding of safe operations in the plant to foster a culture of safety and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Strong interpersonal and team communication skills to build effective relationships and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Strict attention to detail at all times to ensure adherence to procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical storage/disposal/handling, and regulatory standards.
  • Comfort working in an ethnically diverse working environment to promote inclusivity and respect.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.Sc. degree in Chemistry or college diploma in chemical technology or a related field.
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant is preferred.
  • Being respectful of team members and forming productive partnerships to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Scaffolding others and collaborating with colleagues to propose new solutions and implement new ways to add value.
  • Demonstrating a safety-first working environment and actively contributing to a safe working environment.
