Job Overview:

Position: Production Chemist/Operator located in Toronto, Canada. This role involves the synthesis of chemicals in accordance with established protocols while adhering to health and safety regulations.

***This role operates on a fixed schedule comprising a 12-hour rotating swing shift (2 days on/3 days off/2 days on/2 days off/3 days on, etc.). The schedule alternates between day and night shifts every four weeks.***

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilization and maintenance of equipment in a proper manner.
  • Strict compliance with production specifications and operational procedures.
  • Adherence to cleanliness protocols and Health & Safety standards.
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Commitment to enhancing personal skills and those of fellow team members.
  • Development and maintenance of a comprehensive understanding of chemicals involved in production and the underlying chemical processes.
  • Providing support to colleagues through a solid grasp of safe operational practices within the facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree in Chemistry or a diploma in chemical technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is advantageous.
