Position: Production Chemist/Operator in Toronto, Canada. This role entails the production of chemicals following established protocols while adhering to health and safety regulations.
***This role operates on a fixed schedule with a 12-hour rotating swing shift (2 on/3 off/2 on/2 off/3 on, etc.). The schedule alternates between day and night shifts every four weeks.***
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize and maintain equipment effectively.
- Strictly follow production specifications and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and Health & Safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Enhance personal skills and support the development of colleagues.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the chemicals involved in production and the related processes.
- Assist team members by applying knowledge of safe operational practices.
Desired Qualifications:
- A genuine interest in learning new skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects (procedures, documentation, equipment handling, chemical management).
- Comfortable working in a diverse environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry or a diploma in chemical technology or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Respectful collaboration with team members to foster productive partnerships.
- Ability to support colleagues and propose innovative solutions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safety-first workplace.
