About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at MacDonell's Small Jobs Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to woodworking and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware for various types of buildings.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial buildings, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work long hours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
