Construction Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at MacDonell's Small Jobs Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

• Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations, using precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel, to create precise and durable structures.
• Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems, ensuring a strong and stable framework for our clients' projects.
• Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, paying close attention to detail and quality.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various industries, such as agriculture, fishing, and forestry.

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in carpentry is an asset, but not required.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty environments.
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to handle heavy loads.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
