- Needs Assessment: Evaluate clients' eligibility for specific services and assess their skills and development requirements.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during crises, including suicide prevention and conflict resolution.
- Follow-Up: Conduct ongoing assessments to ensure clients receive the necessary support.
- Community Engagement: Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social events.
This position will involve working in various settings, including community service organizations, social service agencies, and health care facilities. The role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly.
Qualifications- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Mental Health First Aid, First Aid, CPR, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training are preferred.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a client-focused approach. Attributes such as dependability, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical practices are essential for success in this role.
