About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Royal City Center Community Dialysis in New Westminster, B.C. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during the predialysis, intradialysis, and postdialysis periods.
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families, ensuring patient choice and autonomy in decision-making and care planning.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing changes to individualized care plans, including attending multidisciplinary care planning meetings and family conferences.
  • Perform nursing duties related to hemodialysis in accordance with LPN competencies, collaborating with the RN and other members of the nephrology team as required.
Requirements
  • Grade 12, plus graduation from an approved program of Practical Nursing, and successful completion of post-basic education through an in-house program offered by a health authority affiliated with BC Renal.
  • One year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practice Nurse in acute care, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current full practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and current certificates in CPR Level C or equivalent and First Aid.
