Job Title: Child Intervention Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Intervention Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of quality intervention services and programs for children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of front-line staff.
  • Ensure services delivered are aligned with the key strategies and business goals of the region.
  • Reflect and uphold the vision of the region, department, and ministry, and comply with appropriate legislation, regulations, and provincial standards, regional policies, and fiscal targets.
  • Champion the implementation of programs and new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the ministry and the region.
  • Support the shift in mindset from child protection to healthy families by developing positive communities, promoting collaborative partnerships to achieve better outcomes for children, youth, and families.
  • Apply a system-thinking approach by considering trends in various program environments and keeping broader impacts and connections in mind, to ensure culturally appropriate services are delivered to children and that they remain safe.
  • Utilize your experience of working with diverse communities and populations to be confident in employing a variety of different diversity and inclusion strategies to initiate, support, and evaluate working relationships.
  • Demonstrate anti-oppressive practices in your work with urban and rural Indigenous communities and will have the ability to combine Indigenous ways of knowing with standard western approaches to working with people.
