Technical Director

Electronic Arts is seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our AI/ML team and drive the development of cutting-edge game technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Machine Learning Engineers to design and implement AI/ML algorithms for game recommendation and matchmaking systems.
  • Develop and execute AI/ML strategies to enhance game performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with product management to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Research and implement new AI/ML technologies to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team.
  • Oversee the design and deployment of machine learning models.
  • Establish rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of AI/ML models.
  • Work closely with other teams to integrate AI/ML strategies into broader product development.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on projects and products progress to senior management.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience with 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
  • Experience with a leadership role within AI/ML, particularly in the gaming industry.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
