Inventory Management Specialist

Role Overview: The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for leading a dedicated team to ensure exceptional service delivery and adherence to operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring compliance with service model standards.
- Monitor and enforce customer service protocols to enhance the customer experience.
- Deliver ongoing feedback and coaching to management and team members based on performance metrics and observed behaviors.
- Achieve established service level agreements for in-store operations and inventory management.
- Support customer acquisition initiatives through the promotion of loyalty programs.
- Ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards, store maintenance, and pricing accuracy.
- Lead the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and seasonal merchandising strategies.
Inventory Control:
Responsible for achieving corporate shrink targets through effective team training, loss prevention enforcement, and rigorous inventory management practices. Oversee preparations for annual inventory assessments and ensure adherence to corporate policies regarding loss prevention, cash handling, and occupational health and safety.
Team Development:
- Coach and develop the store and management team by setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support.
- Create development plans and conduct performance evaluations for team members, addressing any performance gaps through continuous coaching.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team, leading informative meetings and coaching sessions.
- Ensure completion of required training programs within designated timeframes.
Customer Experience:
Ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience and address any customer concerns promptly.
Recruitment and Succession Planning:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to maintain a fully staffed team.
- Create succession plans through ongoing training and development initiatives.
Brand Representation:
Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company’s values and commitment to quality both internally and externally.
Motivation and Recognition:
Foster a motivating environment through recognition programs and team contests, enhancing overall team performance.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in retail management.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
