Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Deployment: Perform intermediate IMAC activities, including hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related tasks on PCs, laptops, printers, POS devices, and other equipment.
  • Software Support: Handle software installation, support, and upgrades to ensure seamless operation of our clients' systems.
  • Deskside Support: Provide expert technical assistance with hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Help Desk Support: Offer first-level support to our clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Network Support: Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities to ensure our clients' networks are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Bench Repairs: Handle depot service and remedial maintenance tasks to keep our clients' equipment in top working condition.
  • Call Management: Respond to, update, and close calls from our National Dispatch/Call Management Center in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Communication: Effectively communicate with clients to diagnose problems, establish ETA, and determine parts requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities.
  • Deskside Support Experience: 1-2 years of experience in providing technical support to clients.
  • Internetworking and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong skills in internetworking and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Certifications: A+ certification and/or other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and/or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills, good communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible schedules and have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
