Job Title: Forest Technician

Scierie Girard inc. is seeking a skilled Forest Technician to join their team. As a Forest Technician, you will be responsible for supervising forestry activities, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise forestry activities, including logging and road maintenance
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with certification standards
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met
  • Participate in forest management planning and implementation
  • Perform other related tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Degree in forestry or related field
  • Experience in forestry (an asset)
  • Class 5 driver's license (required)
  • Technical skills in measurement, mapping, and inventory
  • Ability to work independently, lead teams, and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions
  • Availability to reside in forest camps as required
