About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and service a wide range of construction equipment, including earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment on customer job sites to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions on customer job sites, and test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience, working on a variety of construction equipment in a field service role.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid Class G driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract, and a complete set of tools.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools, as well as a working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
