Position Summary
We are looking for an IT Engagement Specialist to enhance our IT operations. This role is crucial in overseeing all IT End User Engagement activities and services within the Canada region, encompassing IT Operations, Support Services, Infrastructure, Network, Projects, and IT Security. You will play a key role in managing and directing the End User Engagement services and Infrastructure across all Metso locations in Canada, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Reporting to the Country IT Manager, you will assist in various IT functions, including Operations, Support, Applications, Information Security, and Service management.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop solution proposals for business needs and requests.
  • Ensure adherence to IT standards in Canada, including Device Management and other IT-related acquisitions.
  • Oversee and implement Change Requests.
  • Participate in global Projects/Activities.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to Regional IT teams.
  • Manage third-party vendors involved in End User Engagement processes.
  • Facilitate End User communication, material translation, and training on relevant subjects.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting of services in collaboration with service vendors.
  • Coordinate with regional IT resources for effective local service delivery.
  • Oversee EUE tools/services in Canada, including:

Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, Access Management, Asset Management, Computer Definitions, OneDrive for Business, SCCM, Imaging, Licensing, GPO, BitLocker, ServiceNow, Intranet, Windows Defender, Videoconferencing, Intune, MFA, Microsoft: ATA and ATP, PPM, Avenue, Azure, and adherence to Regional and Global IT Policies and Procedures. You will also support:

Windows Servers, Cloud Computing Services, DHCP, Infra RFC, CMDB, File/Print Servers, SQL, TFS, Web Server (IIS), Application Server, Azure, Legacy applications, NPM Orion, Network Monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will be instrumental in providing IT support during crises, ensuring prompt diagnostics, troubleshooting, and communication with end-users.

  • Engage in the architectural development of local IT services.
  • Actively participate in TCS service management, attending weekly meetings to review operations, ticket status, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing and coordinating diverse IT infrastructure services with multiple vendors and demanding business stakeholders.
  • Strong foundation in ITIL, IT service management, and vendor management.
  • Excellent technical and managerial skills.
  • Experience with user computing products, device management, end user support, Microsoft platforms, O365, Cloud Computing, end user security, and virtualization platforms is advantageous.
  • Solid project management fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in English and French is required; knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Canada to audit IT infrastructure and services.
  • Availability to work outside regular hours for critical business needs.
