About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at Galvion. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Full Cycle Recruiting: Collaborate with our Talent Acquisition Manager to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, including online posting and sourcing, to attract top talent and support our growth.
  2. Compensation and Benefits: Ensure that our compensation and benefits policies remain competitive and compliant with federal and provincial labor laws.
  3. Payroll Management: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our Canada-based employees.
  4. Talent Management: Work closely with business leads to drive talent management efforts, including succession planning, employee development, and performance management.
  5. Employee Relations: Foster a positive and productive work environment, addressing any employee relations issues that may arise.
  6. Employee Engagement: Collaborate with our CHRO to drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  7. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Progress our efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor laws and practices.
Requirements
  1. Bilingualism: Fluency in both French and English, both written and spoken.
  2. Leadership Qualities: A can-do attitude, positive leadership qualities, and a servant leadership approach.
  3. HR Experience: 7-10 years of previous HR experience.
  4. Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  5. Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of provincial employment laws in Ontario and Quebec.
  6. Influencing Skills: Strong influencing skills with proven success in influencing employees at all levels of the organization through collaboration and communication.
  7. Travel: Ability to travel to the U.S.
  8. Judgment and Problem-Solving: Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Communication: Excellent communication skills.
  10. Business Acumen: Strong business acumen.
  11. Adaptability: Knowledge of labor and reporting laws in Canada and adaptability to perform functions internationally.
  12. Service-Oriented Approach: A service-oriented approach to our workforce and our team.
