Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Personal Care - Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support Daily Living Activities - Assist clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and other daily tasks.
  • Assist with Mobility and Transfers - Safely assist clients with ambulation and transferring, promoting their independence and mobility.
  • Perform Delegated Tasks - Carry out tasks delegated by healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest level of care and support.
  • Promote Client Independence - Encourage and support clients to maintain their independence, promoting their autonomy and dignity.
  • Provide Emotional Support - Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them to feel valued and respected.
  • Communicate Effectively - Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment - Promote a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • PSW Certification or Diploma - Hold a valid Personal Support Worker certification or diploma.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification - Hold a current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Police Record Check - Have a clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • TB Test and Immunizations - Have up-to-date TB test and immunizations.
