Job Title: Research Coordinator

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator to support two major research initiatives in the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR). The successful candidate will have a strong background in qualitative research and excellent project coordination skills.

Job Summary

The Research Coordinator will assist with coordinating qualitative research activities, including in-depth interviews, participatory action research, and graphic facilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing research protocols, recruiting participants, and compiling and analyzing qualitative data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit research protocols to CAMH's Research Ethics Board
  • Recruit study participants and organize PAR activities
  • Conduct in-depth qualitative one-to-one interviews using graphic facilitation
  • Obtain informed consent from participants
  • Compile and analyze large volumes of qualitative data
  • Write up study results for publications and reports
  • Engage in knowledge translation activities
  • Collaborate with researchers, policy makers, and service providers
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in health or social sciences or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and 2 years relevant research/work experience. Knowledge related to mental health, substance use, or addictions is considered an asset. The successful candidate will have demonstrated research and project coordination experience, strong knowledge of qualitative research design and methods, and experience with qualitative data collection techniques and ability to manage and analyze qualitative data.
