Position Overview
In this role, you will report to the Electrical Services Team Leader at the EKATI Diamond Mine, focusing on the maintenance and operation of boilers, piping systems, and heating apparatus. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation of plumbing, water systems, and building facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting to avert equipment malfunctions
- Maintain daily operational logs and prepare reports on plant activities
- Evaluate instrument readings and diagnose equipment issues
- Perform maintenance on boiler plants, glycol heating systems, and ventilation units
- Execute repairs on boilers and oil heating systems
- Comply with quality and safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Trade qualification in a relevant field
- 4th Class Operating Engineer's Certificate
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Strong dedication to safety practices
- Proficiency in building management systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP software
- Availability for scheduled night shifts
- Preferably experienced in the mining sector
