Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Senior Policyholder Tax Analyst at Co-operators. This role is essential in assisting both our internal and external clients with comprehensive support regarding policyholder taxation within the Individual Insurance and Wealth Management division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough analysis, planning, and oversight of tasks to guarantee timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for resolving complex issues.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to training and development initiatives.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of tax documents and compliance filings.
  • Interpret and convey pertinent legislation to stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Project Delivery Team to execute tax-related modifications.
  • Evaluate system processes to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Manage internal audit requests and address audit-related concerns.
Qualifications:
  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in individual insurance or wealth management.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of Tax Legislation and accounting standards.
  • Background verification is mandatory.
