Overview
Provide expert guidance and support to operational leadership in areas of safe work practices, health & safety policy implementation, legislative requirements, training needs, and inspections. Mentor and develop a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures. i>
- Provide training and education to employees on various safety topics, including hazard identification, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training activities, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture and foster continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of evolving safety regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
