We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers at Northwood. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as well as between-meal refreshments
- Engage residents in leisure and recreational activities, promoting socialization and a sense of community
- Facilitate resident participation in recreation programs and activities
- Provide respite to families and caregivers, offering support and relief
- Document resident concerns, incident reports, and other relevant information
- Grade 12 or equivalent education
- Current Emergency First Aid with Level C CPR certification
- Minimum 12 months of relevant work or volunteer experience
- Experience in one or more areas, such as senior care, young adult care, group home care, or child care
- Paid 2-week orientation and on-the-job training
- Support in obtaining Nova Scotia CCA certification
