Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Diabetes Program team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our clerical team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient reception and registration services, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and families.
  • Manage patient records and data entry with accuracy and efficiency, utilizing our electronic medical record system.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including rescheduling and cancellations.
  • Support our healthcare team with day-to-day operations, including answering phone inquiries and responding to emails.
  • Collect and maintain statistical data, including referral information.
  • Order supplies and maintain a well-stocked office environment.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • College diploma in office administration or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 60 WPM typing speed required.
  • Medical terminology certificate required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts. The successful candidate must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
