About the Role:
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Hospitality and Retail Services team as a Retail Operations Assistant. In this role, you will provide critical support for the day-to-day operations of our retail services, including mail and print services, vending operations, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mail and Print Services: Distribute incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, ensure accurate postage rates, and troubleshoot printer issues.
- Vending Operations: Maintain vending machines, identify and report equipment repair and replacement needs, and create records of deficiency and operational concerns.
- Supply Management: Order supplies within established limits and maintain inventory levels.
- Plant Maintenance: Monitor plant conditions and adjust maintenance schedules as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum one year of related experience, preferably in a mailroom or vending operations setting.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, ability to operate mechanical equipment, and ability to lift up to 30kg and push a cart with loads up to 100kg.
