Job Title: Part Time Intervenor to Support Deafblind Individuals

Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada is seeking a Part Time Intervenor to support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives.

About the Role:

The Intervenor will provide support and assistance to individuals who are deafblind, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting individuals in their home and community environments
  • Using communication techniques to relay information
  • Empowering individuals to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living
  • Providing personal care as required
  • Assisting with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives
  • Ensuring documentation and records are complete
Requirements:
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions
  • Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE)
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
