Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada is seeking a Part Time Intervenor to support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives.
About the Role:The Intervenor will provide support and assistance to individuals who are deafblind, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting individuals in their home and community environments
- Using communication techniques to relay information
- Empowering individuals to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living
- Providing personal care as required
- Assisting with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives
- Ensuring documentation and records are complete
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors
- Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions
- Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE)
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour
