Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation / Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Core-Mark Canada. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation-related job tasks in warehouse facilities, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or acts immediately to ensure the safety of all associates.
  • Operate pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and support small-scale facility maintenance projects.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills.
  • Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
  • Ability to obtain certifications for use of powered equipment, such as forklift operation.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position up to 10 lbs., up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
  • Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.
  • Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.
  • Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
