About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Janicorp Building Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff.
  • Dust furniture and other surfaces to prevent dust buildup and maintain a healthy environment.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture to ensure a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and clean environment for our clients and staff.
  • Handle and report lost and found items to ensure that all lost items are accounted for and returned to their rightful owners.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
Work Environment

As a Cleaning Specialist, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Requirements
  • Handling heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking and other physical activities.
  • Overtime required to meet deadlines and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of weight handling.
