About the Role
PACC-CCAP - Privacy and Access Council of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Privacy Analyst to join our team. As a Privacy Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our corporate privacy management program, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and internal privacy protection policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and respond to privacy breaches and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing mitigation measures.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for internal and external systems, programs, and initiatives, assessing new or redesigned systems and providing recommendations for development.
- Provide privacy information and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, reviewing requests and preparing response letters as needed.
- Research and analyze ongoing privacy law compliance, providing advice and recommendations for developing policy and supporting initiatives.
- Support the preparation of documents for internal and external stakeholders, including reports for committees, management, and the Board of Directors.
- Deliver education and training on privacy to internal stakeholders, supporting the revision, update, and maintenance of privacy training materials.
- Update and maintain databases and registries for privacy compliance management, including a PIA directory and the database of corporate privacy policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge on privacy legislation and best practices.
