- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, determining effective solutions to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service reports, documenting all activities and outcomes.
- Manage inventory, including annual counts and returns, to ensure efficient operations.
- Audit previous installation and repair work to ensure compliance with Xplore Inc. standards.
- Operate a vehicle safely and utilize field automation systems to optimize performance.
- Adhere to company field procedures and protocols, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
- Collaborate with technical teams and share information across the organization to drive business success.
- 1 year of related work experience or a degree/diploma from a related field.
- Bilingual (French & English) proficiency.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Experience with fixed wireless and fibre optic network deployments.
- Knowledge of network equipment, including Ericsson, Ceragon, Alpha DC Power Systems, Ciena, and Cisco.
- Certified Fibre Optic Technician (CFOT) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with fibre optic troubleshooting tools and test sets (OTDR, Power Meters).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of industry standards for Health & Safety, Construction, and CSA.
- Basic understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and DHCP.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to work away from home, including long days and weekends as required.
