Position Summary

The Finance, Procurement, and Logistics division is in search of a dynamic and innovative leader to oversee essential services for IPAC. This role encompasses the strategic development, execution, management, and efficient delivery of financial oversight, procurement strategies, logistics operations, and special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting standards and directing the execution of planning, delivery, and management of all Finance, Procurement, and Logistics services.
  • Leading the preparation and monitoring of the division's strategic and annual operational plans and budgets.
  • Identifying strategic initiatives, process enhancements, innovations, and action plans related to the division's responsibilities.
  • Developing project proposals and business plans that align with the broader strategic objectives of IPAC.
  • Contributing to IPAC's strategic, financial, and operational planning activities and providing corporate support across all units.
  • Offering strategic direction and leadership to the Finance, Procurement, and Logistics units, including managing personnel, operational plans, and budgets.
  • Overseeing the preparation of the annual budget submissions for expenditures.
  • Ensuring effective collaboration with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Conducting research and analysis of best practices in other jurisdictions, considering legislative and policy changes.
  • Interpreting the impact of legislation and preparing necessary corporate policies and procedures.
  • Participating as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team to identify initiatives and develop proposals to achieve critical organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity, ideally in a multi-functional environment.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in senior management practices, strategic and operational planning, and organizational management.
  • Advanced skills in project management, budgeting, financial oversight, procurement, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with relevant federal and/or provincial legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Must have the legal right to work in Canada.

Work Arrangement

The successful candidate will be required to work in-office; however, alternative work arrangements may be available based on operational needs.
