Role Overview

The Agricultural Banking Client Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of the Commercial Banking division in Canada. The Specialist is tasked with effective relationship management, engaging in sales planning, and delivering services to an established customer base. Additionally, this role involves analyzing and processing credit applications.

The individual will manage a defined portfolio while also engaging in business development activities within the agricultural sector. A hybrid work arrangement is in place, allowing for flexibility in work location.

A vehicle is necessary for this role, as travel to client meetings is required. Customer interactions may occur outside of standard business hours.

  • Foster the growth and profitability of the commercial banking portfolio within the agricultural sector.
  • Establish and maintain a strong market presence through relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee a credit portfolio with authorizations ranging from $3MM to $25MM, ensuring an acceptable risk level.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to optimize business development opportunities for sustainable growth.
  • Create sales plans targeting both prospective and existing clients.
  • Identify prospects and referrals through various internal and external networks.
  • Analyze market data and customer analytics to prioritize business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal resources for non-credit related products.
  • Direct customers and prospects to the appropriate Commercial Banking segments as needed.
  • Plan and execute relationship-building activities that generate sales opportunities and add value to clients.
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions and general economic trends.
  • Promote a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace culture.
