Position: Fall Outdoor Centre Facilitator

Reports to: Camp Management

Supports: Outdoor Centre Participants including students, educators, families, volunteers, and rental groups.

Compensation: $662 per week

Contract Duration:

This position spans the fall season, with specific responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Delivery: Ensure the execution of high-quality programs for Outdoor Centre Groups, maintaining a safe environment while embodying the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka's Core Values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Inclusiveness.
  • Operational Duties: Participate in regular shifts across various camp roles, including site staff and kitchen operations, to guarantee full functionality throughout the fall.
  • Site Closure: Assist in the comprehensive closure of the camp facilities at the end of the season.
Essential Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Standard First Aid/CPR-C
  • National Lifeguard Certification
Preferred Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Experience in Camp and/or Outdoor Centre settings
  • Out-tripping experience
  • Customer service background

Each Police Records Check is assessed individually, considering any offenses in relation to the requirements of working with children. These checks must be renewed every three years.
