Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to enhance our Computed Tomography department.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality imaging services and ensuring patient safety at all times.
Responsibilities of the Radiological Technologist 3 include:
Conducting specialized imaging examinations in computed tomography (CT) and radiographic procedures while adhering to departmental protocols and ensuring safe radiation practices. Managing requisitions, accurately entering data into the radiology information system, preparing examination setups, and monitoring patients throughout the imaging process.Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Certification from the CAMRT (Computed Tomography). Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography along with one (1) year of recent, relevant experience in CT radiology procedures, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of an Intravenous Therapy training course as required by site practices. Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).Skills & Knowledge
In-depth understanding of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners as established by the CAMRT and other relevant professional associations. Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to the designated imaging modality. Comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care, including safe work practices with imaging equipment. Strong foundation in General Radiography and CT theory and practices within a patient-centered care model. Proven ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Capability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Proficiency in operating relevant equipment and applicable software applications. Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.Additional Information
