Radiology Technologist with Advanced CT Skills

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist 3 to join the Computed Tomography team at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform special procedure examinations in CT Scan and/or Angiography.
- Receive and complete requisitions, enter relevant data into the radiology information system, and prepare examination trays and patients for specific procedures.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, process and archive acquired data, and monitor patient and equipment performance.
- Supervise and lead a team of Radiological Technologists, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one year of recent, related experience, including supervisory experience.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Demonstrated knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and standards of care, including practice of safe work procedures with modality equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
