Job Overview

The Media Assistant Planner plays a crucial role within the Planning department, focusing on leveraging significant insights to achieve impactful outcomes. This position offers comprehensive training and opportunities for professional growth through hands-on experience and skill development. Essential competencies for the Media Assistant include strong analytical capabilities, mathematical aptitude, innovative thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Planners and Supervisors in the execution and management of approved media strategies across various platforms.
  • Aid in the collection and organization of relevant data to support strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate with local Field clients regarding the tactical elements of media strategies, facilitating information exchange and addressing inquiries.
  • Oversee contracts and insertion orders, including any necessary amendments with media partners.
  • Responsible for entering non-broadcast and online video media purchases, as well as reconciling discrepancies and actualizing media expenditures.
  • Assist in the billing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Update blocking charts, financial plans, and budget summaries as required.
  • Collaborate with the media research team and maintain ongoing communication with creative account team members as needed.
  • Refresh competitive media reports and provide technical support for presentation materials.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Proven track record of achievement in academic and professional settings.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with a focus on analytical thinking and mathematical proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in technical tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams, managing multiple projects and adhering to tight deadlines.
