Position Overview

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing customer relationships and driving sales within a designated area. This position entails regular in-person engagements with current clients, broadening service offerings to existing accounts, and reaching out to potential new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance (50%):
    • Conduct site visits to foster customer relationships.
    • Gain comprehensive knowledge of client equipment.
    • Maintain expert-level understanding of product offerings.
    • Initiate contact with prospective clients.
    • Follow up with leads and existing customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management (35%):
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients.
    • Address customer issues and escalate to relevant experts as needed.
    • Inform clients about new and improved products and services.
  • Business Growth Initiatives (15%):
    • Utilize data analytics and marketing strategies to implement effective sales campaigns.
    • Execute a self-developed territory management plan.
    • Expand service markets including Field Service and Construction.
    • Actively seek and incorporate customer feedback.
    • Ensure Customer Relationship Management software is current and accurate.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in industrial equipment replacement or engineered solutions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and direct sales experience are essential.
  • Sales experience in the relevant market is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with pulp and paper mills, industrial sites, oil and gas facilities, or utility operations is beneficial.
  • Experience in unionized construction services and plant turnaround planning is a plus.
  • Strong action-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience.
