Equity Research Analyst

Position Overview
Haywood Securities Inc. is in search of an Equity Research Analyst specializing in the Metals and Mining sector. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Research and should possess relevant experience in equity research, particularly within the mining industry, complemented by suitable educational qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive written analyses of research data, providing informed buy/sell/hold recommendations;
- Construct and sustain intricate financial models for companies in the metals and mining domain;
- Perform thorough research on companies, industries, and macroeconomic factors;
- Analyze and assess financial statements with precision;
- Stay informed about market trends, new investment opportunities, and factors influencing the markets, including economic shifts in pertinent regions;
- Collaborate with sales and trading teams (both institutional and retail), external institutional clients, and corporate finance to deliver valuable industry insights;
- Prepare detailed research reports for publication, focusing on significant news and events, along with their implications for investment recommendations and target pricing;
- Monitor financial news through specialized media outlets and corporate financial reports;
- Participate in site visits as necessary.
Educational Background & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as Geology, Engineering, Finance, Business, or other quantitative disciplines;
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Equity Research, particularly within the mining sector or financial services;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and adept at sourcing data from the internet.

Employment Status: Permanent full-time
Compensation Structure: Competitive base salary with additional quarterly bonuses, emphasizing performance-based incentives.
