Job Summary:
The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant - Community Support to join our team. As a key member of our Health Equipment Loan Program, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of individuals in our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Service Centre Supervisor to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Health Equipment Loan Program, ensuring seamless support to clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including loans, returns, and statistics, in accordance with program policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support, including managing the front desk, processing financial transactions, and ensuring timely and accurate information flow to the public.
- Support other Red Cross initiatives as needed, contributing to a coordinated team effort to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals in our communities.
Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education or diploma in a health-related field, with one to three years of job-related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex client-based environment.
- Strong decision-making abilities, combined with excellent organizational skills, are essential.
- Proficiency in English and French, with strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated computer skills and administrative abilities.
- Previous experience working with volunteers or seniors is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting.
