About the Role

The Health and Safety Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and health of our employees, contractors, and the public. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and implementing project HSE plans, environmental plans, and regulatory requirements
  • Conducting project-specific HSE training and providing information to project teams
  • Developing and maintaining hazard identification tools and conducting project HSE inspections
  • Supporting project teams with emergency response planning and monitoring project security requirements
  • Verifying equipment and tool inspections and notifying stakeholders of incidents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A working towards Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Working towards safety designation
  • 3 years of experience in a related industry
  • Knowledge of applicable OH&S, environmental legislation, and HSE processes
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
