About the Role
The Consumable Territory Sales Manager at STERIS is responsible for driving business growth and customer satisfaction in the assigned territory. This involves meeting sales goals, increasing market share, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual business plans for the territory, including opportunity development and competitive strategies.
- Actively identify profitable revenue growth opportunities and maintain account retention.
- Negotiate customer agreements and leverage the company's product and service offerings.
- Call on key decision-makers in hospitals, including C-suite executives, department leaders, and purchasing managers.
- Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with key buying influences.
- Maintain knowledge of each account's history, contacts, and purchase plans.
- Develop relationships with distributors and participate in local industry organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.
- 3-5 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in B2B or medical device sales.
- Successful history of selling new products and increasing product utilization.
- Experience in medical and consumable equipment sales, with a focus on MDRA and GI departments.
- Understanding of the hospital buying process, including National Accounts, GPO, and Distributors.
