Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a specialization in agriculture to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural practice, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality financial services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including compilations and review engagements.
  • Prepare and review working paper files for income tax returns, including personal, corporate, and trust returns.
  • Perform occasional bookkeeping duties, including preparation or review of investment account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files to ensure timely completion of returns and schedules.
  • Ensure follow-up on notices of assessment and provide support to team members as needed.
Requirements
  • 3 or more years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the agriculture sector.
  • Completed undergraduate degree and a CPA designation, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective communication with managers and clients.
  • Strong interpersonal relations and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Excellent time-management and project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience with Tax Prep and CaseView programs is an asset.
