About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct health and safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors, explaining safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and injuries, and handle related claims.
  • Plan and coordinate health and safety training sessions, including orientations, WHMIS, CPR/First Aid, and specialized training.
  • Monitor employees and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations, and communicate them to site management.
  • Provide coaching and support to project managers, supervisors, foremen, and workers on HSE requirements.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving HSE programs and processes.
  • Provide monthly safety performance reports to management, identifying trends and recommending initiatives to reduce incidents.
