We are a reputable bakery and pastry shop dedicated to providing high-quality baked goods to our customers. As a Pastry Artisan, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for creating delicious pastries, bread, and other sweet treats.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Artisan to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings according to recipes and special customer orders. They will also be responsible for requisitioning materials, operating machinery, and maintaining inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough, batters, and icings: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition materials: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Operate machinery: Operate machinery, including mixers, ovens, and other equipment.
  • Maintain inventory: Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure quality: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Baker Trade Certification and Baker Red Seal Certificate.
