Purpose and Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned buildings, ensuring a well-maintained and smoothly functioning property. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing thorough knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, M&E, and plumbing.
  • Ensuring full knowledge of the Fire Safety Plan and performing fire equipment inspections.
  • Performing minor mechanical repairs, including preventative maintenance and common elements repairs.
  • Completing apartment inspections and unit turnovers, ensuring apartments are restored to move-in ready condition.
  • Preparing and organizing waste and recycling bins, and performing seasonal outdoor work.
  • Ensuring tenant satisfaction through prompt and courteous service.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and daily work logs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma.
  • WHMIS, Working at Heights, and Standard First Aid qualifications.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a maintenance or superintendent role.
  • Basic computer skills and organizational and time management skills.
  • A valid Ontario Class G Driver's License.
  • Ability to work on-call, with evening, night, and weekend scheduling.
