Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Operations Specialist to join our team at Cabela's. As a key member of our Category Management team, you will be responsible for managing our Merchandise Management System (MMS) and SAP to ensure the strategic direction of our business is executed effectively.

You will work closely with our Category Management, Distribution & Logistics, and Planning & Inventory teams to build relationships and ensure that our SKUs are created, maintained, and assorted efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialize in BPS's MMS systems/SAP and applications, using your system knowledge to make informed decisions based on interpretation, discretion, and judgment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align systems and ensure that SKUs move smoothly through replenishment channels.
  • Work with Visual Merchandising/Space Planning teams to ensure Planogram integrity.
  • Build relationships with other Merchandise Operations Specialists to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Design, develop, train, and document modifications to BPS's MMS, including writing SOPs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our operations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, to ensure that our team's goals and objectives are met.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of administrative work experience
  • Postsecondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong PC skills with an emphasis on Spreadsheets (Excel) and Database Management Systems (Access or other query tools)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities simultaneously
