Position Overview

The role of the Restaurant Manager at North Country involves overseeing the daily operations of our dining establishment, ensuring a high standard of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Management: Determine the types of services to be provided and implement effective operational procedures.
  • Financial Oversight: Balance cash and complete financial reports, including balance sheets and cash reports.
  • Staff Development: Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to team members.
  • Cost Management: Analyze costs associated with products and services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce local liquor laws and regulations.
  • Inventory Control: Organize and maintain stock levels of food and supplies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate terms with suppliers for food and other necessary supplies.
  • Marketing Participation: Engage in the development and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Customer Relations: Address customer complaints and provide exceptional service.
  • Operational Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage a team of approximately 5-10 staff members.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle pressure. The role is physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Work Hours: Expected to work between 35 to 40 hours per week.
