Job Title: Heavy Duty Cleaner

As a Heavy Duty Cleaner with FirstService Residential, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our properties. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our residents and guests have a positive experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Gather and dispose of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment.
  • Observe appearances and conditions of premises and equipment, reporting needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including loading and unloading supplies, moving heavy furniture and equipment, and replacing light bulbs and fuses.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
