About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Mama Mia Italian Kitchen. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Language
    • Fluent in English.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week.
