About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team at Teck Resources Limited.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic insight into the financial health of Teck, optimizing enterprise-wide planning as the global planning owner.
  • Progress key priorities, develop and implement plans and forecasts, and provide business intelligence to deliver on financial targets and enhance shareholder return.
  • Act as a key member of the Finance team, promoting and enhancing the culture within the group.
  • Standardize metrics through which Business Divisions and corporate functions' performance is assessed.
  • Bring an enterprise-level perspective to business plans, challenge assumptions made by Business Units/functions and develop recommendations of priorities for the best investments and initiatives for Teck.
  • Lead global planning processes for the enterprise including capital prioritization, business plan reviews and enterprise scenario planning.
  • Lead enterprise performance management through performance reporting, analytics and insights to support executive decision-making, inclusive of identifying and analyzing key drivers of costs and value.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support planning and strategic decision-making across the organization.

Requirements:

  • A professional finance designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, CA, or CMA) or MBA.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting, or engineering.
  • 10-15 years of progressive senior level experience in finance-related roles.
  • Mining industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experienced in Power BI, Tableau or other data analytics/visualization platforms.
  • Advanced analytical, strategic planning, organizational abilities, and commercial and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated executive presence & influence.
