Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Wililingdon Creek Village in Powell River, BC. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including activities such as administering medications, performing wound care, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
